Find of the Week: TASCHEN's Basic Art Series

This is just one example of the books from TASCHEN's Basic Art Series.

I have seen them around before but never really paid attention, as I prefer coffee table books on art. But on my last trip to the National Gallery, mainly due to the very disappointing Gift Shop selection on the day, I flicked through a Picasso book and decided to get it to read on the tube,

as it’s a perfect size/weight combo for my Chanel :)
Anyway, the book is a quick summary of the Picasso’s life and his work from the Blue to Rose periods, full of illustrations of his paintings.

All in all - a perfect companion for the Tube ride!

It is like a “Grazia” version of a full-featured book on Picasso :)

Finally, I am a proud owner of this amazing book.

How did I ever live without it?

(May I add - the book is the weight and the size of a child!)

My grandmother will boil eggs in onion peels first thing in the morning and then place them on the table to offer to everyone who comes into the house to celebrate Easter.
